Our gift to you...

Our family began Ovenell's Heritage Inn in 1997. We opened our farmhouse to guests with the intent of sharing our  history and ranch life with travelers from across the globe! Nestled in the rugged foothills of the North Cascades of Washington, our 580 acre cattle ranch has been in our family since the early 1940's. The cattle, farm critters, wildlife and spectacular scenery are our main attractions. We welcome you to join us for a memorable stay during any season of the year. Sorry, we do not serve breakfast at this time. Come pick your cabin!

WHAT WE OFFER:

We have 4 log cabins, Bear Hollow guesthouse, Cougar Crest guesthouse, the Eagle Guesthouse, all are fully equipped. Our grounds are spacious with picnic shelters, fire pit and play areas for children. We are open year-round and offer specials during the winter and spring months. We offer special contractor rates, honor business and government per diem. If you are looking for lodging in the North Cascades or Concrete, we offer AAA rated, Trip  Advisor recommended lodging just outside of town.

OUR CATTLE RANCH AND ACTIVITIES:

Our 580 acre cattle ranch, Double O Ranch, allows you to experience nature at its finest. Spring calving season is an amazing time to celebrate new life as we welcome 100 new calves. Walk the trail through our CREP project to experience our conservation practices or stroll through the woods and see how we have managed our timber lands for more than 70 years. Don't forget to visit our critters including chickens, ducks, turkeys, Pinky Pie the pygmy goat and our Clydesdale Champ. Make this a romantic getaway or bring the whole family.

OUR WILDLIFE:

Our conservation practices through the years have ensured an abundant wildlife population on the ranch. Resident deer frequent the lawns at the cabins and the fields with the cows. Elk herds from the valley make their way across the river to the ranch in late summer and come and go through the fall and winter. The ranch is also host to coyotes, bear, cougar, bobcats, opossum and an extensive list of woodland and open country birds including Canadian Geese, hawks, owls and our great eagles, who call the ranch home year-round! Don't forget your camera, that perfect shot might be lurking in the woods!

SURROUNDING ACTIVITIES:

The North Cascades National Park and Baker Lake Recreation area offer amazing hiking trails, scenery, photography or just drive. The Skagit River has world class fishing, or during the winter months book an eagle watching float trip with an area guide. Whether you plan on hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, birding, hunting,  cross country skiing or snowmobiling, make us your base camp for year-round activities. The town of Concrete offers local gift shops, restaurants, hardware store, churches, a historic theatre, museum, airport, swap meet and Saturday Market in the summer.
